Farage’s register of MPs interests: What it tells us.

House of Commons

Since his return to frontline politics and his election as MP for Clacton, Nigel Farage has taken side hustles to a whole new level. As an MP, Farage earns an annual salary of £93,904 (2025) with generous expenses on top. However, despite an MP being a full-time job, this salary is a small fraction of his earnings. Media headlines have called him “Nine-jobs Nigel”.

But what can we learn from where his income comes from? Here we dive into Farage’s income streams to learn about the man who would be prime minister.

GB News

According to media reports, Farage is paid an eye-watering £98,000 a month for presenting on right-wing channel GB News. He reportedly receives payment for this and other media work via his limited company Thorn in the Side Ltd, a move likely to mean a lower tax bill. Based on his declarations in the Register of Members Interests, he is paid over £2000 per hour for this work. Public records also show that Farage is a significant shareholder in the broadcaster with 500,000 shares.

Direct Bullion Ltd

Farage has another lucrative gig as a brand ambassador for Mayfair-based Direct Bullion Ltd. He undertakes a range of advertising and promotional work for the firm, which sells gold bullion to investors. The Register of Members’ Interests indicates that Farage is typically paid for four hours’ work per month. In 2024, his income from this source was almost £190,000.

Cameo – personalised video clips

Cameo is a website where you can buy short personalised videos for private or business purposes. Often they are used to convey birthday greetings. Nigel Farage sell these clips from £72.19 each, rising to £3,799 for a business clip. Judging by the fact that he has over 1800 reviews on the site, this venture has been very successful. The Register of Members’ Interests shows that Farage can earn £1000 per hour from these videos. His entry for 3rd October 2025 stated an estimated 30 hours of work and a payment of £36,729.98.

Meta Platforms

Meta Platforms is the owner of Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, the Nigel Farage page has 1.9 million followers, while on Instagram, he has 950k. As with X.com, he receives income from his content.  The specific figures for his Meta income have not been updated with large new payments in the immediately available search results, suggesting the £2,795 remains the primary declared figure since his election in July 2024.

Google

Nigel Farage reports regular but varying payments from Google (Alphabet Inc.). This is presumably for his monetised Youtube channel, which has 491k subscribers ( as of Nov. 2025). He has posted more than 690 videos, including all his main speeches. The payments declared range from £156.23 received on 24 September 2025 up to £3,561.40 received on 25 November 2024.

News Pty (Sky News Australia)

In 2025, Nigel Farage secured what the media reported to be his 10th job, as a commentator on Murdoch’s Sky News Australia. On the 24th February 2025, he received a payment of £25,368 for what he estimated to be 19 hours’ work spread over several months.

Speaking Engagements

Farage is active on the international speaking engagement circuit, sometimes engaged through Imperial Independent Media, a U.S. company that represents clients seeking speaking opportunities. The Register of Members’ Interests includes payments from Imperial totalling £19,479.34 registered on 3rd October 2025. The register also includes a speaking engagement for BTC Inc, a Bitcoin media company (£7,410); and the AZ Liberty Network an extremist anti-abortion group in Arizona (reportedly totalling £25,000).

Payments in kind

In addition to cash payments for his various employments, like all MPs, Nigel Farage has to declare non-cash gifts and donations received. The register shows that he received a flight from Teterboro to Palm Beach valued at £15,276.72 from the convicted fraudster George Cottrell (pictured left). He also received a return helicopter journey for two people valued at £8,413.20 from British business JC Bamford. Farage’s trip to the United States for the second inauguration of Donald Trump was paid for by
Christopher Harborne, a British businessman and technology investor based in Thailand. The donation was valued at £27,616.76.

Oh … we nearly forgot – MP for Clacton

As MP for Clacton since the July 2024 General Election, Nigel Farage has received an MP’s salary of £93,904 per year.

What does all that tell us?

Whatever views one has on the politics of Nigel Farage, a survey of his income streams proves that he is far from lazy. His earnings show a highly enterprising politician determined to cash in on his political fame. Whether or not it is appropriate for an MP to have so much extra-parliamentary work is another question. The other fascinating question is whether he would want to forgo all these earnings if he were to achieve high office.
